Pastor Joel Gregory

Dr. Joel C. Gregory is the founder and leader of Joel Gregory Ministries. His ministry is one of teaching, preaching, and Proclaimers Place seminars for continuing adult education in sermon preparation. Joel holds the B.A. summa cum laude and PhD from Baylor University, the MDiv from Southwestern Seminary, and the MTh with Merit from Oxford University, UK. He spent 19 years as Professor of Preaching at Truett Seminary holding the George W. Truett Chair of Preaching. He has preached at venues as diverse as Princeton Seminary, Westminster Chapel London, and at the Baptist World Alliance in Seoul Korea and Durban South Africa. He was invited by President Jimmy Carter to preach at the Baptist New Covenant gathering Atlanta. In a poll of more than 500 professors of preaching nationally he was named in 2018 as one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English language.
